FIFA World Cup 2022 fixtures, Qualifiers, Groups and Venues
FIFA World Cup 2022 began on 20th November 2022 in Qatar. FIFA World Cup will continue till 18th December 2022 and this year 32 teams are participating.
32 teams competing against each other in the FIFA World Cup 2022 have been divided into 8 groups of 4 (A to H) and only the top 2 teams will advance to the knockout stages.
64 matches will be played across 8 stadiums in 29 days ( from November 20 to December 18 ) at the Qatar FIFA World Cup 2022. Except for the first 2 days, 4 matches will be played each day during the group stages.
In the opening stage, each team plays all the other teams in its group once. After the group rounds, the top 2 teams in each group will advance to the Round of 16.
Each of the 32 teams will play three matches in the group stages before the knockouts begin with the round of 16 (pre-quarterfinals) on December 3.
The semi-finals will be played on December 14 and 15, both at 12:30 AM IST, while the final will take place at the Lusail Iconic Stadium on December 18.
